Piano Debut at Whitley College, Melbourne University

Australian pianist Daniel de Borah performed well on the College recently acquired KAWAI RX2 grand piano, for the inauguration of the recently refurbished chapel at Whitley College.

His stunning performance of Brahms 7 Fantasies, OP.116 received a standing ovation, Daniel told us after the performance that the Kawai RX2 was just the right size for the chapel, “ you would not want anything larger in here” he said.

All in all, it was a very impressive and most powerful performance by Daniel. Daniel was 3rd prize winner at the Sydney International Piano Competition in 2004 and has since appeared as soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra, the London Mozart Players and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Barbican and Cadogan Hall, London. He has given recitals throughout Europe. In Australia he has performed with the Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra Symphony Orchestras, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and orchestra Victoria. He now divides his time between Melbourne and London.
