World Vision Australia and Soulmanna Live are pleased to present award-winning international concert pianist Van-Anh Nguyen and award-winning cellist Chris Howlett this March in Melbourne and Sydney for two nights only. Performing an electrifying duet of classical crossovers and Top 40 hits with a unique twist, this intimate yet energetic evening is not to be missed.
Van-Anh Nguyen is a passionate Australian-Vietnamese pianist, producer, composer, teacher, fashionista, blogger, model, and TV Host for Discovery Channel Asia. Having commenced piano at the early age of 15 months and hailed as a child prodigy, she received her Licentiate Diploma in Music at the age of 12. Nguyen has released four albums to date and maintains a busy international touring schedule.
Cellist, festival director, and producer Chris Howlett has been described as one of Australia’s finest artistic talents. Founder and managing director of the Australian International Opera Company based in China, Howlett also presides as director of the Sanguine Estate Music Festival and the 3MBS Marathon. He performs in over 50 recitals a year at festivals and with the Melbourne Piano Trio worldwide. Nguyen and Howlett are both strong advocates for World Vision Australia. They desire to educate audiences about the stifling challenges millions face around the world, and inspire audiences to give the gift of hope in a simple yet significant way. At each event fans will have the opportunity to join them in addressing the root causes of poverty.
